train people series #10 and cappuccino

This is actually not a person on a train, but a friend of mine (Shun, who was in England for collage, ring a bell anyone?) playing PSP.

--------------

So... I was at an Italian restaurant with 3 other people. We could choose a drink after words, like tea or coffee. Myself and two other people chose cappuccino. And out comes the first cappuccino with that foam art thingy. It's the classic pattern, the leaf! (I don't know the technical term, but that's what it looks like). I wasn't expecting this, as well as others. We just thought it would be normal cappuccino without the frill. So we're saying stuff like, "wow, that's cool!" and getting excited. The second one comes and it was a heart shape. So last is mine, and we're still talking about how we weren't expecting anything fancy and....

hmm..
No matter how I look at it, it looks like... well, maybe a "S?"

I have no idea why mine was the only one that they didn't do anything on. Maybe it was the one that they screwed up on, or maybe the person making it just didn't like me all that much!

train people series #6

drawing on the train is quite hard. I always draw while standing since usually there is no seat and I don't want to sit because it's easier for other people to see what I am drawing. But it is quite hard not just because I want to hide what I am drawing, but because more people get on the train as it goes. So most likely I would be drawing someone on the other side of the seat and someone would stand right in between me and that person. Usually I am able to draw in time before someone stands in front/between, but sometimes this doesn't happen.. so this was one of those days when people just kept on being in my way.

train people series #5 and Flee Market

------
Today there was a famous flee market that started 400 years ago that I went. Very cold! I mean, cold for Tokyo.

Here is a taste of what it looked like:
ALOT of people! There were few tourists too (outside Japan).

This is what the stores are like:
People line up their products on the streets. Numerous food venders where out as well

Some one had antique French stuff including old news paper and old receipts from 1950s.

Old Japanese accessory used in Edo Period.

Tons of old cameras! (there was a warning that said this was only for interior decoration only and that it cannot be used... sad):

A dried gourd lamp! It was really beautiful..:

the first of tons of sketches to come

so, I have started since end of last year to actually draw everyday because I just have been lacking that. So I have started drawing on the train, and I have made it a goal this year to update my blog on Mon, Wed, and Friday!

So here's the first one I did December, 2009.

Sleeping ones are the ones to draw!
